Pet Friendly Campgrounds in the U.S.
U.S. STATE & COUNTY PARKS, PRIVATE CAMPGROUNDS & NATIONAL RECREATION AREAS
Pets on a leash are allowed in National Forest campgrounds.
Coker: Lake Lurleen State Park Campgrounds
Pets on a leash are welcome at the park and in the campground area, but are not allowed in the swimming area, the beach, beach parking lot, or adjoining areas.
Dauphin Island: Dauphin Island Campground
The Dauphin Island Campground welcomes dogs and other pets as long as they follow our over all guide line of "do not disturb others". Therefore we ask owners to keep pets on a leash, clean up after them, control barking etc.
Kachemak Bay State Park and State Wilderness Park
Pets on a leash are allowed at developed facilities.

Arkansas State Parks Campgrounds
Pets are welcome in Arkansas State Parks campgrounds, but must be kept on a leash, caged or otherwise restrained.
Big Sur: Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park Campgrounds
Pets on a leash are allowed in the developed campgrounds and day use areas.
Cayucos area: Morro Strand State Beach
Dogs on a leash are allowed in the developed campground areas but not on the beach.
Death Valley National Park Campgrounds
Pets on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the campgrounds.
Lake Tahoe, West Shore: D.L. Bliss State Park Campgrounds
Located 17 miles south of Tahoe City on Highway 89, a couple of miles north of Emerald Bay.
Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the campgrounds, but are not permitted in buildings, on trails (except paved trails), or beaches. Dogs must be confined to a vehicle or tent from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Lake Tahoe, West Shore: Sugar Pine Point State Park Campground
Located 10 miles south of Tahoe City on Highway 89. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the campgrounds, but are not permitted in buildings, on trails (except paved trails), or beaches. Dogs must be confined to a vehicle or tent from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Malibu: Malibu Creek State Park
Dogs are allowed in the park in the day use areas and campground area.
Mammoth Lakes: Convict Lake Resort Campground
Dog friendly campground.
Pescadero area: Butano State Park
Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are permitted in the campground and in developed areas, but are not permitted on the trails.
Plumas County (No. California) Campgrounds
Generally, the campgrounds are open from April to October, with those at higher elevations opening in mid-to-late May. Pets are allowed at all campgrounds.
San Simeon: San Simeon State Park
Dogs on a leash are allowed in the campground.
Santa Cruz Area: Big Basin Redwoods State Park
Located 25 miles northwest of Santa Cruz via Highways 9 and 236 and about 65 miles south of San Francisco. Dogs on a leash are allowed in the campsites, picnic areas, and on paved roads only, and are not permitted on any of the trails.
Santa Cruz Mountains: Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park
Dogs on a leash are allowed in the campground, the picnic area, and on Pipeline Road, Graham Hill Trail, and Meadow Trail, but are not permitted on any other trails or interior roads.

Florida State Parks Campgrounds
Pets on a leash are allowed in some Florida State Parks Campgrounds. At the time of campsite registration, pet owners will be required to show proof of a current rabies vaccination for each pet.

Georgia State Parks Campgrounds
Pets are welcome in campgrounds if kept on a six-foot leash and attended at all times.

Kentucky State Parks Campgrounds
Leashed pets are allowed in park campgrounds and on trails, with the lone exception of the trails at Natural Bridge State Resort Park.

Pets on a leash are allowed in the campgrounds and in all areas of the park except for the picnic areas, historic area and cabins.
Brewster, Cape Cod: Sweetwater Forest
Pet Friendly campgrounds. Sweetwater Forest also offers an air conditioned Day Kennel for the pets of their campers.
Foxboro: Normandy Farms Family Camping Resort

Michigan State Park Campgrounds
Pets on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in most Michigan state park campgrounds, but are not permitted on designated beaches or areas used for wading or swimming.
Grand Marais area/Upper Peninsula: Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Hurricane RIver Campground and Au Sable Light Station

DEC operates 52 campgrounds located in the Adirondack and Catskill Parks. Pets on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the campgrounds with proof of a valid rabies inoculation. Pets are not permitted at the beach, in picnic areas, in any building, or on the Lake George Islands.

South Dakota State Parks Campgrounds
Pets on a leash no longer than 10 feet are allowed in the campgrounds, but are not permitted on designated swimming beaches or in any park buildings.
Tennessee State Parks Campgrounds
All state park campgrounds allow cats and dogs. Pets must be on a leash and must not be left unattended. Proof of rabies shots and a physical description of the animals may be required upon request. Certain areas such as picnic areas, beaches, swim areas and foodservice areas may be restricted to pets.
Galveston Island State Park
Pets on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the campgrounds, but are not permitted in any park buildings, cabins, or shelters.
Junction: South Llano River State Park
Pets on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the campgrounds, but are not permitted in any park buildings, cabins, or shelters.

Stoughton: Lake Kegonsa State Park Camgrounds
Pets on a leash no longer than 8 feet are permitted in the campground but not in the picnic or playground areas or in buildings. There is a pet swim area. Pets are not allowed at the beach.
Two Rivers: Point Beach State Forest Campgrounds
Pets on a leash no longer than 8 feet are allowed in the campgrounds, but are not permitted in any picnic area, building, shelter, playground or on the Swales Nature Trail.
