Sunset Inn is far from the crowds, yet in close proximity to all the natural wonders of Yosemite National Park. Situated within an ancient forest, at 4,500 ft. elevation, Sunset Inn is tucked away on a lush private meadow, surrounded by huge aromatic pines, fresh air and star studded nights.

Three quaint cabins:
Larkspur Cabin & Sugar Pine Cabin- these two charming cabins will each accommodate 2 guests and are attractively designed in a studio layout. The interiors are done in the "Craftsman" style of custom woodworking. Both cabins are recently remodeled and offer a queen bed, well equipped kitchen, private bathroom with shower and sky lights, cozy wood burning stove (firewood is provided), and inviting sun porch. Both cabins are set on the edge of the surrounding forest. Roll-away beds are available for an additional guest.

Meadow Lark Cabin- our newly remodeled family cabin is beautifully hand crafted. Also done in a studio layout, this two room cabin offers a queen bed in the main room, and a double and single bed in the other, a well equipped kitchen, dining area, private bathroom with shower, and propane heating including a gas parlor stove where you can watch the fire burn. This cabin will accommodate up to 5 guests. Overlooking our lovely meadow and frog pond, there is a roomy sun porch, ideal for taking in those gorgeous sunsets for which we are so aptly named.

Additional amenities:
Handmade quilts adorn the beds, fluffy bath towels and handmade soap are provided for each guest. Kitchens in all three cabins are well equipped with a 4 burner stove top, toaster oven or range oven, coffee maker, and refrigerator, along with pots and pans, dishes, utensils, even dish soap, as well as coffee and tea to prepare as you like. Each cabin has a table or counter with chairs or bar stools and either an easy chair or rocker. For entertainment, aside from the great outdoors, your cabin is outfitted with playing cards, board games and puzzles, as well as magazines and local literature, including park information. Each cabin has a charcoal barbecue grill. A picnic table is available in our idyllic meadow, along with a swing, frog pond, and farm yard chickens, for outdoor enjoyment.

Local Activities Include: Hiking - Blaze your own trail, starting from your cabin door. Or, enjoy any of the vast trails, as well as the lesser-traveled paths within Yosemite and the surrounding exquisite forest. The vegetation & wildlife are spectacular! Fishing & Swimming - Rivers, streams & lakes abound with trout, bass & more. The South Fork of the Tuolumne River is just 2 miles away. Rock Climbing - Yosemite is a rock climbers dream, with unlimited routes on some of the finest granite in the world. Classic rock climbing information available on the premises. Feel free to inquire. Bird Watching - Our meadow is a terrific spot to behold the sights and sounds of the numerous local feathered species, including song birds, owls, ravens and water fowl. White Water Rafting - Wild & Scenic Tuolumne River rafting trips depart just 15 miles down the road. Bicycling - Mountain & paved cycle routes throughout the area. Horseback Riding - Available at several nearby locations. Cross Country Skiing - You can ski right out the door of your cabin (snowfall permitting). Also, Crane Flat, 10 miles up the road, inside Yosemite, boasts many great ski trails. Downhill Skiing - Badger Pass, also inside the park, is a great family ski area. Dodge Ridge, on Highway 108, provides a variety of exciting & more advanced skiing options. Doing Absolutely Nothing - Come up for air, stars, mountains, trees & divine seclusion. Do nothing, relax & enjoy. We won't tell.

Rates:

$140 to $190 per night, double occupancy.
$170 To $230 per night, up to 4 guests, family cabin.
Add $10 per night, each additional adult guest, or $5 per night, each additional child under 12.
