OLD-STYLE FLORIDA COTTAGE IN SEAGROVE BEACH

This renovated old-style Florida cottage is located very close to the beach on the south (beach) side of County Road 30-A, near Eastern Lake. It has hardwood floors and modern baths, kitchen and furnishings. A very large wrap-around screened porch is furnished with table/chairs, comfortable daybeds and a hanging bed. Two bedrooms have queen beds, and a third bedroom has two single beds. Large front and back yards and the wooded setting in a small neighborhood of similar cottages assures peace and privacy.

The closest beach (2/10 mile, photo below) is immediately adjacent to Deer Lake State Park for lengthy, uncrowded beach walks. A nearby 25-mile bike path runs both east and west along C-30-A, parallel to the beachfront, and allows access to all shopping amenities via bicycle. Four single-speed bicycles and two clear-bottom kayaks are available for use.

The house is located approximately 15 miles from Panama City and 25 miles from Destin. More photos of the interior, exterior, and environs will be provided by email upon request.

Amenities:

Cable television with DVD, CD player, wireless Internet access. Fully furnished kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, blender, cooking utensils. Linens and bath towels provided. A full-size washer and dryer and extra refrigerator are located in the garage. A charcoal grill, four single-speed bicycles, two clear-bottom kayaks, beach chairs and umbrellas are available for use. Outdoor shower with hot water. Many books and board games are also available.

Attractions:

Within a 3-mile radius (easy biking distance along designated paths) there are numerous grocery stores and fresh seafood markets, bakeries, a bookstore, a post office, and many restaurants and shops. Nearby communities of Seaside, Watercolor, Rosemary Beach and Grayton Beach all offer unique shopping and dining opportunities. The house is walking distance to Deer Lake State Park, with several other state parks within a 10-mile radius (Eden Plantation State Park, Grayton Beach State Park, Camp Helen State Park). Several golf courses, including Camp Creek, are located within a 10-mile radius, and many more public access courses are located within a 25-mile radius.

The panhandle area is famous for its gorgeous white sand beaches, clear spring-fed rivers and cypress swamps, providing many interesting day trips for canoeing, biking, birding, and fishing. South Walton County is itself in an environmentally unique setting, hosting numerous coastal dune lakes that occur nowhere else in the United States. Several of these lakes are within a short walk of the house.

Rates shown are for up to four persons. A charge of $50 per person per night will be added for more persons, up to a maximum of six. There is a one-time cleaning fee of $100. Non-refundable pet fees are shown below. A $250 damage deposit is fully refundable at the end of the rental term. A lodging tax of 11.5% will also be charged.
