Located in the beautiful Brandywine Valley, this historic Engish country house built in 1856, with later additions by renowned architect Charles Barton Kean in 1896, is situated near woodlands, gardens, and hiking trails. It offers seclusion, tranquility and country elegance.

In addition to the cottage, Hamanassett has seven beautifully appointed guest rooms, (1 is dog friendly) all with large private ensuite baths with full soaking tub and shower, king or queen beds, hardwood floors with Oriental carpets, TV/VCR, coffee makers stocked with coffee and tea supplies, hair dryers, irons and ironing board.

The Carriage House is 1100 sq. ft. of English Country charm. Tucked into the woods behind the main house, it is pet and child friendly and features 2 bedrooms, 2 and 1/2 baths, free WiFI, air conditioning, cable TV with VCR, telephone, front porch with rockers, barbecue grills and fenced yard. It has a large fully equipped and stocked kitchen as well as washer and dryer. Adults traveling without small children may have breakfast at the main house or request that the kitchen be stocked with breakfast supplies.
