Located on Lake Independence, 25 miles north of Marquette in Big Bay, in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the Big Bay Train Depot has been refurbished into 5 uniquely decorated suites with fully equipped kitchens. All the suites are facing the lake and have two double beds, a comfortable bedroom and sitting area. Satellite TV in all rooms, including the NFL Sunday tickets for our football season guests.

A VCR and DVD is available, there isn't one in every room.

Attractions:

Big Bay is one of the best 4 season outdoor recreational areas. Fishing is spectacular on Lake Independence and Lake Superior. Nearby streams are filled with trout. To the west of Big Bay is the McCormick Tract, a half-million acres of land for public use with non-motorized vehides. This land is criss-crossed with logging trails that make it ideal for mountain bikes, hikers, climbers, cross country skiers and snowshoers. ATVS are also welcome here on the many logging trails outside of the wilderness and on the old train track bed coming into Big Bay. Lake access to a small, private sandy beach for swimming, fishing and boating.
