Yellowstone on one acre in the foothills overlooking Big Sky's Meadow Village, this romantic custom log home offers spacious living (2,600 sq. ft.) and dramatic open architecture, from cathedral ceilings and cozy areas tucked under logs, to an airy loft with balcony facing the ski slopes of Lone Mountain. A split-log staircase is free-standing in the living area, functioning as a piece of sculpture. Antique furnishings, original art and wood stove on a river rock hearth, add ambience in this owner/artist-designed retreat. A large wrap-around deck with barbecue offers spectacular mountain views. The 3-story home sleeps a total of 12 in the loft, living areas and 2 bedrooms. Fully equipped kitchen, cable TV, VCR, washer/dryer, 2 1/2 baths and indoor pet kennel provided.

Our home is 1 mile from the village and shuttle up the mountain to the ski resort, 3 miles from Gallatin River for blue-ribbon fishing, 20 miles from Yellowstone National Park. Activities include mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, snowmobiling, horse drawn sleigh rides, rafting, skiing, shopping, and great restaurants.

$300 - $380/night (up to 6 people).
