Come rest among our hardwoods, breathe the air of tranquility, fish our 3 1/2 acre, 40' deep pond, or walk the many tree lined lanes of our resident mountain where blackberries and blueberries grow wild. Our cabins caress a private pond stocked with bass, trout, & catfish. Each cabin has a large secured deck furnished with table, chairs, umbrella and BBQ for your outdoor comfort. Step out onto your deck and watch the graceful movements of the fish swimming the shallow water\'s edge, admire the natural plants and trees that surround the pond or just sit and enjoy what our peaceful mountain has to offer.

Five cabins from which to select: BRIGHT-EYED BASS - One bedroom cabin decorated to perfection - contemporary / country. Bright & cheerful. Cathedral ceilings, wood floors. Fully equipped kitchen. Bedroom with queen bed. Bath has large whirlpool tub/shower. Twin sleeper sofa in living room provides additional sleeping accommodations. A/C, gas fireplace, phone, satellite TV, VCR/videos, washer/dryer. Private dock for fishing. Bed linens and towels included. Sleeps 3.

DANCING CATFISH - Adorable 2-bedroom cabin filled with country charm. Perfect views of the pond through its many windows. Here you will experience the morning's tranquility and the evening's brilliant sunsets. Equipped kitchen, dining area will accommodate the larger family. Sleeping accommodations include one queen, one full and two twin beds. Loft ideal for small children. A/C, gas heat, electric authentic wood burning stove with flame effect, ceiling fans, satellite TV, VCR/videos, washer/dryer. Bed linens and towels included. Sleeps 6.

Or select one of the two cute & cozy A-frame efficiency models, BROWN TROUT - SNAP 'N TURTLE. Both have the same floor plan with kitchen area, table & chairs, one queen bed, one futon on lower level and one in loft. A/C and gas fireplace. Satellite TV. Bath has tub and shower.

BROWN TROUT - Step into a fisherman's camp. If you enjoy fishing, this cabin is quite the catch. Rustic with a modern flair. Lots of deck space. Sleeps 2-4.

SNAP 'N TURTLE - A blend of Victorian with contemporary country. This is one of the most peaceful cabins situated at the pond's end with lots of surrounding trees and sounds of nature. Sleeps 2-4.

WHISPERING PINES - is an invitation to step into serenity and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This spacious, two-story cabin nicely accommodates the larger family or multi-family vacationers. Three bedrooms, two baths, two family rooms with independent satellite TV's, VCR/videos,washer/dryer, private phone line, two large covered decks. The perfect site for watching the sun rest itself behind the mountain peaks or to just admire Mother Nature's landscape. Decks have table/chairs swing, one gas grill. Central air and heat, wood burning stoves in family rooms. This cabin is just a 3 minute drive or 10 minute walk up the mountain from the pond. All amenities of the pond are extended to guests of Whispering Pines. Sleeps 6-10

Our grounds include a lighted pavilion and small park area for our guests to socialize, play cards, games, whatever. There are tables, chairs, benches, BBQ's, dance area and a courtyard for roasting marshmallows and telling fireside stories. Boating is available at no extra charge. Whether you are the serious fisherman or one who likes to paddle around the pond, you're sure to enjoy what we have to offer. There are many trails for walking. Our mountain is limited to resident traffic only and is safe for walking, hiking and bike riding.
