Located at 301 River Rd, Harrison, NE 69346, Agate Fossil Beds National Monument is best known for the large number of well-preserved Miocene fossils, which date from about 20 million years ago. Pets on a leash are allowed on the Daemonelix and Fossil Hills Trails, but are not permitted in the visitor center. The grassy area immediately north of the visitor center and museum parking lot is the monument’s designated pet walking area.
