Located at 3501 New York Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002, the U.S. National Arboretum is a living museum where trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants are cultivated for scientific and educational purposes. Admission to the grounds and museum is free and no tickets are needed. The National Arboretum allows visitors to bring pets onto the premises. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. While these pets may be on the grounds, they are not allowed in the Administration Building or in the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum.
