This is the first place we hit when getting into Apalachicola.
The oysters are huge and fresh, fixed every way you can imagine at a great price. Leashed dogs are allowed on the patio overlooking the water.

This was a wonderful place to go with our pet! Pets are allowed on the patio. There were stray cats around near the water, so, if your pet likes to chase them . .. you might want to be careful.

Our little Buffy joined us at Steamers for a cheeseburger while the rest of the pack ate wonderful seafood on the outside deck. Great view watching the oyster men bring in their catch of the day. Great seafood dining.

My wife and I ate there for dinner with our dog (Bouchee). This is a French Restaurant with a French owner. The food was delicious and the service was great. They brought water for the pup and she was well received. We ate there June 12, 2008.

It was the worst experience in dining for last 10 years. My husband and I went to the French restaurant Casimir Bistro (old Kameleon Bistro) located at Royal Palm Place, 416 Via de Palmas, Boca Raton. Service was bad and the food was horrible. My escargot dish had grit, and I asked the waiter to change this dish. When the manager came, he said I’m the first client who has complaints about this dish. I started to feel myself really uncomfortable.
My entree was even worse than the appetizer. I ordered duck , in their menu described as a half Crispy Duck a L'Orange, for $26 I got two small duck legs, which were totally dry, overcooked and tasteless. I think this duck dropped dead before they cooked it. When the manager came, he almost start to curse. He was so rude, mean and obnoxious with us, that I started to feel guilty for choosing to go here, because it was my decision to go to this restaurant. I was really upset and asked the manager give me his business card so I could call the owner and make a review about his horrible service. His answer was :”Get out !”
I think we made a really big mistake to come to this restaurant, our dinner and mood was totally spoiled. I wish this place would go out of business. I am also sorry for paying the $100 for our meal, we should’ve given it to charity rather than to this trash.

We have been coming here for years and find the food consistently fresh and high-quality. The service is excellent (though we still wish they took reservations - they don't). Inside offers both traditional seating and hibachi tables (where they cook at the table). Outdoors they are, in their own words, "very pet friendly" -- but large groups be aware: their outdoor tables seat four only. They will try to accommodate larger groups by seating you at tables next to each other (great if you want to, say, have a "grownups" and "kids" table), but the tables can't be joined because they have connected umbrellas.

My owner, not knowing this was a pet (and baby) friendly pub visited the Lion and Eagle without me (can you believe it?!?) While she was enjoying her authentic and tasty British food and drink, she saw a golden retriever, two shitzsus and a baby (human) all enjoying themselves at the pub, and noticed pictures of more pet "regulars" on the counter. The landlady and wait staff are all very charming as well (so my owner tells me - can't wait to see for myself!). Aug. 20, 2006

This cute little cafe is great for dogs of any size. They have a beautiful courtyard that also has a gate so the dogs can be let off their leashes to run around. The waitress is so nice, she brings the dog a little bowl with water and chef puts together a nice little treat for the dogs as well. Their sandwiches and panninis are wonderful, so not only does your friend enjoy a great meal but so do you. Their courtyard also has a turtle pond and a coy fish pond with waterfalls, so it is very peaceful to enjoy a nice lunch.

For a casual, noisy and GOOD seafood restaurant, this is our favorite in SW Florida. There are several Pinchers in the area but this is the best offering more food items during Happy Hour than the others. They have many different kinds of crabs and claws and the other usual things -- fish, frogs legs, etc. Their fresh veggies are cooked perfectly; their staff is friendly and accommodating, and they have a line at the dinner hour every day.

Ristorante Luna Rosa was very accommodating to our dog, offering him water, and generally cooing over him. We were well treated, too, and enjoyed a very pleasant dinner on the covered (a plus on this rainy night) patio dining area. The food is upscale Italian, with entrée prices averaging $15-25, appetizers from $6-12, and a nice, if not extensive, selection of wines by the glass (in addition to a more extensive selection of wines by the bottle).

Trinket and Luna here. This is one of our favorite Restaurants. Mommie and Aunt like it too. They have fantastic Hamburgers. All kinds and favors, and Mommie says the prices are not bad. I just know I love the burgers. They are very tasty. They have lots of other food, but Luna and I love the burgers. Some people say I'm a little extrovert dachshund, but I'm just a little exuberant about hunting and finding good food. Still have not found that squirrel burger yet, but we're still looking. Luna likes to hang with me, and pretend to hunt, but she is a bonker. Luna just bonks everthing on the head. She also thinks she is captivating and gorgeous. Well, she is a papillon, but I'm ok with that. I'm a beautiful dachshund and a great hunter. They have very good water here and lot of great service and food. Hope to see you there.

This a wonderful place for breakfast and lunch, year round. Anyone visiting the local beaches or the Edison/Ford Winter Estate should make this a stopping place. I no longer live in Ft. Myers, and miss Sunday breakfast with my Lab. They served him a bowl for water, a pitcher of ice water, his custom breakfast per my specifications, AND knew he prefers a plastic fork instead of metal. Of course we sat out side, but they have an entrance from the courtyard, so your canine companion never has to walk inside.

My friend and I brought our dogs there, the people were not friendly at all. They made us feel uncomfortable after we called and asked, and then asked again when we got there. Customers there were also very unfriendly. Stay far away!!!
|
 | Jul 04, 2007 |
I would also NEVER recommend this restaurant for dining with your dog. Being new to the area- and coming from a very dog friendly place, I immediately looked up dog friendly dining and beaches. Pete's Time Out said they were "dog friendly" on this website, but I also called to double check, so I would not offend any non-dog lovers. I was assured "yes we are dog friendly as long as your dog is friendly". My husband and I decided to check it out after we spent a few hours at the dog beach. I was appalled, to say the least, by the treatment we received not only by the staff (which- again I called in advance to make sure this exact treatment would not happen) but by a few ignorant customers as well. The first words out of the waitress's mouth was "that thing won't bite me will it?" which was joined by a few dirty looks by other staff, and to top it off a shirt less, beer bellied man sitting near us commented to my husband and I that.. "there ain't no use for dogs in this world." Needless to say I very quickly lost my appetite and only wish I didn't step foot in that establishment. -- Sorry for the long write up-- But to conclude to those who may be wondering-- this was a "beach atmosphere" restaurant with patio/porch and outside sitting. We brought our 6 month old puppy, she is an Olde English Bulldog. We were not at a high end restuarant with a 100 lb killer dog. Our puppy is part of our family- but we do not assume everyone feels the same way we do about her, and would never simply show up with our dog to any place without checking. If you say you are dog friendly-- you must show courtesy for those with furry friends. I was truly disgusted with their treatment and false advertisement, I will never patronize Pete's Time Out again (with or without my puppy).

Our first visit to a bar in Key West and we weren't disappointed!! This place is beautifully located just a few blocks from Courtney's Bed and Breakfast - where you simply must stay if you are a dog visiting Key West!! Conch Republic Seafood Company is in the historic harbour area of Key West and there are wonderful island breezes that blow through. Us pooches are allowed around the bar and at the patio tables, but not at the dining tables behind the bar. It's just as well, because the BEST seating is around the bar and on the patio anyway!!!
If you are a Jimmy Buffett fan, we understand that his recording studio, Shrimp Boat Sound is very near here, but it is my opinion that the old white building with no windows that was once an ice house, or something like that, is just a decoy to keep nosy tourist fans, like us, from knowing where the real studio is!!!

Hi, Remy and Ariel again! We didn't eat here, but mommy and daddy had a couple of drinks - the prickly pear margarita is sure good. At least that is what mommy said!! Ariel and I were offered a "well drink" in a nice black bowl - all the cool fresh sparkling water we could drink!! It was great. The best thing, and listen closely - sit at one of the tables on the porch next to the doors to the bar. Fans blow down from the top of the doors and it is really a nice cool place for a social pooch to recline and people watch.

Louie's advertises that it is pet friendly. When my family and I went to lunch there yesterday, we were sent to the back porch bar which is an outside area. This was to be expected. There was a beautiful deck overlooking the ocean with many tables. When we asked for a menu we were told that we had to sit at the bar (total of 8 bar stools) and were required to eat at the bar at in these high stools and crowded counter, while many lovely tables with umbrellas for shade were empty. We asked if we could order our food at the bar and carry it to the tables ourselves. We were told no...our little dog was frightened of constantly shifting barstools and he seemed to be viewed as in the way of walk-up bar customers. It seemed that we were made to feel as uncomfortable as possible. The food was delicious, but would hesitate to go back even without our dog.

I was hot and tired walking in after a busy nite on Duval Street. I was greeted by the owner, Nancy with a wonderful hello and a great rub. After being seated, the waitresses not one but all made sure that I was happy as a puppy in heaven. A nice cold bowl of water with ice, just for me, treats in every pocket and all the love I could ask for. What a great evening. With my paws well rested and happy, I bid my good nite and headed home with sweet dreams of my next visit.

Great Mexican food on a laid back little patio. Dogs are certainly welcomed!! You do have to walk through the store front to get to the garden, but you are welcomed to do so, even if you are a pooch! This place seemed to be a hit with the locals and was recommended by several! Enjoy!! April 4, 2007

Sorry - it was blown away by Katrina. No more Sands. We used to love going there with our Sasha after playing tennis at the Casa.

This place is relatively new and is AWESOME!!!! Very dog friendly on the patio with our own bowl of ice water in a cute little dish! The owner, David Case, I believe his name is, is really good at this business. The service is beyond compare and the food is out of this world. It is off of Duval Street a bit, nestled in a wonderful old neighborhood of beautiful Key West houses. Everyone that walks by seems to know David and he treats every customer as if they are his most important customer of the day.
Be sure to the the orange bread pudding!!!!!

Sarabeth's is a lovely upscale restaurant that is VERY dog friendly. I called ahead to double check and was heartily assured that my dog would be a welcome guest. Mystic flirted with the waiters and was promptly served a big bowl of ice water. No one even seemed to mind when, in response to a group of barking dogs down the block, Mystic let out one of her coyote-like howls! Everyone simply laughed.
