This is the first place we hit when getting into Apalachicola.
The oysters are huge and fresh, fixed every way you can imagine at a great price. Leashed dogs are allowed on the patio overlooking the water.

This was a wonderful place to go with our pet! Pets are allowed on the patio. There were stray cats around near the water, so, if your pet likes to chase them . .. you might want to be careful.

My wife and I ate there for dinner with our dog (Bouchee). This is a French Restaurant with a French owner. The food was delicious and the service was great. They brought water for the pup and she was well received. We ate there June 12, 2008.

It was the worst experience in dining for last 10 years. My husband and I went to the French restaurant Casimir Bistro (old Kameleon Bistro) located at Royal Palm Place, 416 Via de Palmas, Boca Raton. Service was bad and the food was horrible. My escargot dish had grit, and I asked the waiter to change this dish. When the manager came, he said I’m the first client who has complaints about this dish. I started to feel myself really uncomfortable.
My entree was even worse than the appetizer. I ordered duck , in their menu described as a half Crispy Duck a L'Orange, for $26 I got two small duck legs, which were totally dry, overcooked and tasteless. I think this duck dropped dead before they cooked it. When the manager came, he almost start to curse. He was so rude, mean and obnoxious with us, that I started to feel guilty for choosing to go here, because it was my decision to go to this restaurant. I was really upset and asked the manager give me his business card so I could call the owner and make a review about his horrible service. His answer was :”Get out !”
I think we made a really big mistake to come to this restaurant, our dinner and mood was totally spoiled. I wish this place would go out of business. I am also sorry for paying the $100 for our meal, we should’ve given it to charity rather than to this trash.

We have been coming here for years and find the food consistently fresh and high-quality. The service is excellent (though we still wish they took reservations - they don't). Inside offers both traditional seating and hibachi tables (where they cook at the table). Outdoors they are, in their own words, "very pet friendly" -- but large groups be aware: their outdoor tables seat four only. They will try to accommodate larger groups by seating you at tables next to each other (great if you want to, say, have a "grownups" and "kids" table), but the tables can't be joined because they have connected umbrellas.

My owner, not knowing this was a pet (and baby) friendly pub visited the Lion and Eagle without me (can you believe it?!?) While she was enjoying her authentic and tasty British food and drink, she saw a golden retriever, two shitzsus and a baby (human) all enjoying themselves at the pub, and noticed pictures of more pet "regulars" on the counter. The landlady and wait staff are all very charming as well (so my owner tells me - can't wait to see for myself!). Aug. 20, 2006

This cute little cafe is great for dogs of any size. They have a beautiful courtyard that also has a gate so the dogs can be let off their leashes to run around. The waitress is so nice, she brings the dog a little bowl with water and chef puts together a nice little treat for the dogs as well. Their sandwiches and panninis are wonderful, so not only does your friend enjoy a great meal but so do you. Their courtyard also has a turtle pond and a coy fish pond with waterfalls, so it is very peaceful to enjoy a nice lunch.

For a casual, noisy and GOOD seafood restaurant, this is our favorite in SW Florida. There are several Pinchers in the area but this is the best offering more food items during Happy Hour than the others. They have many different kinds of crabs and claws and the other usual things -- fish, frogs legs, etc. Their fresh veggies are cooked perfectly; their staff is friendly and accommodating, and they have a line at the dinner hour every day.

We have a "purse" miniature Dachshund and have taken her three times to this restaurant and she has always been welcomed and even offered water. Saturday, there were two Goldens on leashes that were greeted in a welcome manner by the staff. It's good food at a reasonable price that's pet friendly and even offers veggies instead of potatoes for us low carbers. Who could ask for more?

Ristorante Luna Rosa was very accommodating to our dog, offering him water, and generally cooing over him. We were well treated, too, and enjoyed a very pleasant dinner on the covered (a plus on this rainy night) patio dining area. The food is upscale Italian, with entrée prices averaging $15-25, appetizers from $6-12, and a nice, if not extensive, selection of wines by the glass (in addition to a more extensive selection of wines by the bottle).

Trinket and Luna here. This is one of our favorite Restaurants. Mommie and Aunt like it too. They have fantastic Hamburgers. All kinds and favors, and Mommie says the prices are not bad. I just know I love the burgers. They are very tasty. They have lots of other food, but Luna and I love the burgers. Some people say I'm a little extrovert dachshund, but I'm just a little exuberant about hunting and finding good food. Still have not found that squirrel burger yet, but we're still looking. Luna likes to hang with me, and pretend to hunt, but she is a bonker. Luna just bonks everthing on the head. She also thinks she is captivating and gorgeous. Well, she is a papillon, but I'm ok with that. I'm a beautiful dachshund and a great hunter. They have very good water here and lot of great service and food. Hope to see you there.

This a wonderful place for breakfast and lunch, year round. Anyone visiting the local beaches or the Edison/Ford Winter Estate should make this a stopping place. I no longer live in Ft. Myers, and miss Sunday breakfast with my Lab. They served him a bowl for water, a pitcher of ice water, his custom breakfast per my specifications, AND knew he prefers a plastic fork instead of metal. Of course we sat out side, but they have an entrance from the courtyard, so your canine companion never has to walk inside.

My friend and I brought our dogs there, the people were not friendly at all. They made us feel uncomfortable after we called and asked, and then asked again when we got there. Customers there were also very unfriendly. Stay far away!!!
|
 | Jul 04, 2007 |
I would also NEVER recommend this restaurant for dining with your dog. Being new to the area- and coming from a very dog friendly place, I immediately looked up dog friendly dining and beaches. Pete's Time Out said they were "dog friendly" on this website, but I also called to double check, so I would not offend any non-dog lovers. I was assured "yes we are dog friendly as long as your dog is friendly". My husband and I decided to check it out after we spent a few hours at the dog beach. I was appalled, to say the least, by the treatment we received not only by the staff (which- again I called in advance to make sure this exact treatment would not happen) but by a few ignorant customers as well. The first words out of the waitress's mouth was "that thing won't bite me will it?" which was joined by a few dirty looks by other staff, and to top it off a shirt less, beer bellied man sitting near us commented to my husband and I that.. "there ain't no use for dogs in this world." Needless to say I very quickly lost my appetite and only wish I didn't step foot in that establishment. -- Sorry for the long write up-- But to conclude to those who may be wondering-- this was a "beach atmosphere" restaurant with patio/porch and outside sitting. We brought our 6 month old puppy, she is an Olde English Bulldog. We were not at a high end restuarant with a 100 lb killer dog. Our puppy is part of our family- but we do not assume everyone feels the same way we do about her, and would never simply show up with our dog to any place without checking. If you say you are dog friendly-- you must show courtesy for those with furry friends. I was truly disgusted with their treatment and false advertisement, I will never patronize Pete's Time Out again (with or without my puppy).

This is not the cafe for we folks that treat our pets like a member of the family. Even when this restaurant advertises as pet friendly, and doesn't train their staff to be polite and welcoming, it is more confusing to "pet-people." In these tough times when restaurants need all the business they can get, I can understand why we year around residence with a pet, we should avoid supporting restaurants that may accept our dog one day and be unwelcoming in their attitude on another day we have a waitress or manager that is unfriendly. I say, avoid these kinds of places. There are many others to support. Keep out of "Pete's Time Out."

OK, so it's not a restaurant!!! But it is the oldest and coolest bar in town and if you dogs want the complete Hemingway experience, you gotta go!!! They loved us there!! Here's a secret - the lady behind the T-Shirt counter has dog biscuits!!!! And the lady that sang there sang a song for us!! It was great! True old Key West! And you may even get to sit on some famous person's barstool at the bar!!!

Boo, hiss! As of 6/29/07 this place should no longer be listed on this site. We were stopped at the door and told dogs are not allowed. I mentioned having read on this website that they are listed as a dog-friendly establishment, but was told "absolutely not, you can't come in". My over-heating dog and I walked on, and found a great place just around the corner on Duval called The Bull. Their man out front actually invited us in, dog and all.

Our first visit to a bar in Key West and we weren't disappointed!! This place is beautifully located just a few blocks from Courtney's Bed and Breakfast - where you simply must stay if you are a dog visiting Key West!! Conch Republic Seafood Company is in the historic harbour area of Key West and there are wonderful island breezes that blow through. Us pooches are allowed around the bar and at the patio tables, but not at the dining tables behind the bar. It's just as well, because the BEST seating is around the bar and on the patio anyway!!!
If you are a Jimmy Buffett fan, we understand that his recording studio, Shrimp Boat Sound is very near here, but it is my opinion that the old white building with no windows that was once an ice house, or something like that, is just a decoy to keep nosy tourist fans, like us, from knowing where the real studio is!!!

We went here in March with our little dog, Abby. This is a very friendly place, to both humans and dogs. They brought Abby an ice cold 'bacontini', it's ice water with two strips of bacon in a bowl. Abby gave this a big 'paws up'. The beer, wine and other drinks are reasonably priced and the menu includes all sorts of favorites, plus a few unique items. Iguana Cafe is open all the time, so stop by whenever your dog friends need a break from all the Key West fun and sun!

Hi, Remy and Ariel again! We didn't eat here, but mommy and daddy had a couple of drinks - the prickly pear margarita is sure good. At least that is what mommy said!! Ariel and I were offered a "well drink" in a nice black bowl - all the cool fresh sparkling water we could drink!! It was great. The best thing, and listen closely - sit at one of the tables on the porch next to the doors to the bar. Fans blow down from the top of the doors and it is really a nice cool place for a social pooch to recline and people watch.

Louie's advertises that it is pet friendly. When my family and I went to lunch there yesterday, we were sent to the back porch bar which is an outside area. This was to be expected. There was a beautiful deck overlooking the ocean with many tables. When we asked for a menu we were told that we had to sit at the bar (total of 8 bar stools) and were required to eat at the bar at in these high stools and crowded counter, while many lovely tables with umbrellas for shade were empty. We asked if we could order our food at the bar and carry it to the tables ourselves. We were told no...our little dog was frightened of constantly shifting barstools and he seemed to be viewed as in the way of walk-up bar customers. It seemed that we were made to feel as uncomfortable as possible. The food was delicious, but would hesitate to go back even without our dog.

I was hot and tired walking in after a busy nite on Duval Street. I was greeted by the owner, Nancy with a wonderful hello and a great rub. After being seated, the waitresses not one but all made sure that I was happy as a puppy in heaven. A nice cold bowl of water with ice, just for me, treats in every pocket and all the love I could ask for. What a great evening. With my paws well rested and happy, I bid my good nite and headed home with sweet dreams of my next visit.

Great Mexican food on a laid back little patio. Dogs are certainly welcomed!! You do have to walk through the store front to get to the garden, but you are welcomed to do so, even if you are a pooch! This place seemed to be a hit with the locals and was recommended by several! Enjoy!! April 4, 2007

This place is relatively new and is AWESOME!!!! Very dog friendly on the patio with our own bowl of ice water in a cute little dish! The owner, David Case, I believe his name is, is really good at this business. The service is beyond compare and the food is out of this world. It is off of Duval Street a bit, nestled in a wonderful old neighborhood of beautiful Key West houses. Everyone that walks by seems to know David and he treats every customer as if they are his most important customer of the day.
Be sure to the the orange bread pudding!!!!!

Sarabeth's is a lovely upscale restaurant that is VERY dog friendly. I called ahead to double check and was heartily assured that my dog would be a welcome guest. Mystic flirted with the waiters and was promptly served a big bowl of ice water. No one even seemed to mind when, in response to a group of barking dogs down the block, Mystic let out one of her coyote-like howls! Everyone simply laughed.

Nice, casual, open-air bar/restaurant right on the water. As I stood at the entrance looking for someone to confirm that dogs are welcome, I spotted some canine regulars lounging on the floor of the bar area. We sat at a table near the water and enjoyed a steady breeze, good food, and strong drinks. The patrons at nearby tables also enjoyed Mystic's willingness to be petted by strangers.

The Afterdeck was great!!! If you or your mommy or poppy are Jimmy Buffett fans, you simply must eat or have a drink here!!! Buffett used to live next door, you know, and loved the fact that he could be at Louie's from his front door in 45 seconds!!!!
The bar is next to Dog Beach - small beach but very pretty and tropical looking. A word about dogs at Louie's - they are only allowed on the Afterdeck before dinner hours. We went for lunch. Dogs must sit on the deck. On the deck, food is only served at the bar - not at the tables. Once you know all that, you are good. You may even get to drink some ice water from a champagne chiller!! The food there is unbelievable!!!! Delicious gourmet food served at the bar for lunch - not just pub food - but award winning stuff!!
You gotta go!!!

The Bull is an open air bar right in the heart of Duval Street. I've gone every visit to KW. We had times where the dog was not allowed in, but the two past visits, it was OK. Do not drink the draft beer as it has a vinegary taste. The bottled and canned beers are a MUST if you drink beer. Entertainment is very good and runs all day and night. It's a spot to go if you are sick of the touristy stops like Sloppy Joe's and Hog's Breath.

Hi, it's Trinket and Luna again. Mom and Auntie to us to Pisces Rising for dinner. The food was very good and service was great too. We saw other dogs, but Luna says she was the cutest. That ok with me, as I'm a great hunter. This place is a little pricey, but the food is very good and the water bowl was nice and favorful. The carriage horses are across the street, if you want to go for a carriage ride after dinner, or before. It makes for a lovely evening. But, no barking at the squirrels please. It upsets the horses. To think something that big can be scared of squirrels. Not me, I'm a great hunter. Oh yeah, they don't serve squirrel, but the seafood (scallops, yummm) was great!

Trinket and Luna here, with a fantistic find. There we were shopping in Mount Dora, I in my new pink hat and pink fluffy jeweled collar and Luna in her purple fluffy jeweled collar. We were the talk of the town. Many people stop to take our picture and speak to us, as we are just too cute. We went to have an early dinner at the Gables, but dinner does not start till 5pm. Which was ok by us, we were just a little early, so we strolled about town a bit. This of couse made the people happy as they could see myself and Luna a bit more. Then at 5pm we went to dinner. By far the best in town. Mom had the Cedar Plank Salmon and Scallops and shrimp, and Auntie had Black & Blu New York Strip, 12oz hand trimmed new york angus steak, pan seared and Cajun spices and topped with crab.(These were the specials from the chef tonight). Which of course they shared so they had surf and turf. The food was wonderful. The Salmon melted in my mouth and the Steak was to die for. Mom and Auntie even had dessert, and we advise to save more for dessert cause it was lip licking good. Mom and I had the apple strudel, Luna and Auntie shared the banana foster. We also got extra treats, just for us. Oh, yes the water bowl was delicious. This restaurant really rates 4 bones!!!

There is an outside seating area for your dog and plenty of cool water for our doggies.

Enjoyed 3 meals there, both lunches and dinners. Beautiful big deck with rocking chairs pulled up to tables. Did not have our dogs with us this trip, so do not know their policies on dining with them, but they are sure to have a friendly answer to an inquiry. It is a great location to watch the sun set over the water while enjoying some of the area's great seafood. Do take your bugspray if eating at dusk - after all you are right on the water!

Boondocks had a great outdoor seating area allowing all types of animals. They even have a pet friendly menu. We had a blast and our dog enjoyed one of their homemade frozen dog treats. The kids played mini-golf and we enjoyed relaxing cocktails on the patio! They even have a once a month pet party! Must stop here! Clean bathrooms too, always a plus!

Great place for dogs - lunch and dinners outside. We stopped there a few times. Good food baskets - nice friendly staff - good service! She got more treats than 'needed'!? But recommend to bring 'OFF' for the extra moist muggy tropical nights for the kids ( just in case they bite!!). Dog was happy - children did complain a little about stinging critters.

Great food, very friendly staff. Dogs are always welcomed out front or in the Courtyard. Taste also has a dog friendly "Yappy Hour" on Saturdays from 4p-7p. Dogs and their owners congregate in the courtyard for beer specials (humans), free biscuits (dogs), live music and socializing (everyone!)

We went to Taste last night because they allow pets, but found out it that Safety Harbor was having a huge wine tasting festival on Main st. Even with the enormous crowds, the staff was extremely pleasant, the food was fabulous (try the Tummis Sandwich) but they all had smiles on in the midst of organized chaos! :-)

My names is Krissi. I am 95 lbs of Blonde beautiful fun. My family took me to Hollerbach's this July, 07 and we had a wonderful German luncheon sausage platter to share. This is a German restaurant, but the menu is so extensive you can find anything on the menu to like. There were five other families with their hairy children there to eat and enjoy the entertainment on the front patio. We had a great day.

My mom finally took me somewhere again and what a nice place to go - for dogs and people alike. Very friendly and attentive wait staff will seat you outside where you can have your meal overlooking the lake. The homemade meals are plentiful and delicious and their specials include soup, entree, veggies, potato, and even dessert. Very reasonably priced too. The waitress has rescued 4 animals herself and was so pleasant that I hope we go to Sebring again soon.

This is a fabulous place where locals hang out. There is inside and outside dining.....loosly put. Great selection of imported beer. The day we were there, Eddy Teach was sitting at the end of the outside bar with a small eletric fryolator. Every so often, he would toss in a handful of breaded shrimp and send them down the bar so everyone could sample them. One guy had gone fishing that day and brought in a selection of fresh fish. Ed fried it up right there. Dogs are welcome.

This spot is right downtown, very close to the capitol complex. There are lots of outdoor tables; the menu is casual, mostly sandwiches (burgers, reubens, wraps etc) and salads. Because it's so close to the capitol, you'll see a lot of government folks there. Also has full bar.

Food was very good - specially the French Fries. They were delicious. Very friendly and attentive waiters/waitresses even though place was almost full (outside tables).
