This place is great. They offer a breakfast and lunch menu with everything from quiche or bacon and eggs OR salads and sandwiches. They also host an organic Farmer's Market Sat & Sun on site. Wonderful place for adults, children and dogs alike. There is chalk for the kids and sometimes dog bisquits for the pups. Fantastic atmosphere for you and your well behaved, leashed dog!

Extensive menu, all of it good - but save space for dessert!!! On nice days there is quite a demand for an outside table so be prepared to wait.

Free WiFi, local beer selection, vegetarian options. The outside seating is covered so you and your pooch can dine together even in inclement weather. Good place to go after the dogpark, or if you are an out-of-towner seeing the specialists at the vet school.

This place was perfect to sit outside and have a meal and drinks with our dogs. The patio is in the front, on one of the main streets in downtown Athens. Patio is completely covered, has about 6 tables. Good food, good beers, great place to sit outside with our dogs!

I write a column for Atlanta's Finest Dining called Dinner and a Date. This month I was looking for a pet-friendly restaurant and came upon Au Pied de Cochon. Their Pooches on Peachtree event is absolutely adorable. It's worth checking out, plus the food and wine is spectacular!!

This place ROCKS!!! Steve, the owner, chef, and head waiter gave us no choice but to eat the great dishes he recommended!! Wubbie, our Puggle, feasted on biscotti and H2O while we had the fabulous crab cake wraps, etc.
What a TREAT...if you haven't been, WHY??

I visited the butter trough for the offer of free food. If you went there and listened to some advertisements at your table, there was no cost for your meal. That, and the fact it had a 60 foot trough of butter in it. It was definately a first.
I do not know if I will go back - the other customers were very.. strange.. but it was interesting.

Excellent food. The staff loves dogs. The only downside is that there are only two very small outside tables. So if you have a large dog, or a small dog with a lot of humans they can not accommodate you.

...lots of fun! It is a nice sophisticated change-o-scenery from the usual bar/pub crowd of pet-friendly patios. The Humane Society has been there for their dogs to get some tlc! In times past, I believe there were donations of food and drink proceeds- there are dog treats as well! :-)

Wonderful staff!!! I stayed at the hotel with my 2 dogs (Sage 53lbs, Ginger 20lbs). There were no pet fees or weight limit. I did leave the dogs unattended, but brought crates to use for the house keeping. The rooms were nice, the hotel was clean and there was an on leash dog park area about 3 blocks away. We were not able to attend the happy hour, but I'm sure that would have been great also. This hotel was listed as a link on PetFriendlyTravel.com in Atlanta, but they removed the link due to the free parking that was posted. Sorry, I spoiled it for all of you. None the less, I give it a four paws up for a belly rub to the overall service and friendliness (that's a good thing for all you who don't know the power of the belly rubs).

Park Tavern is a GREAT place to go with your dog. It's located near Piedmont Park's dog park, so you can tire out your pooch and then relax with a fresh brewed beer and a nice snack outside. They bring a water bowl to your table, and almost everyone outside has a dog.

We took our long-haired akita to the Park Tavern on Piedmont Park. AWESOME!!! The food was great, the staff loved all the doggies and gave them fresh water in doggie bowls at each table. There are many tables and most people bring their dogs. The tavern is also a brewery. The park has a no leash part and a huge leashed part. There are always concerts, festivals, and the like right there in the park. It is beautiful and we can't wait to go back!!

This place is NUTS!! It's a coffee shop in an old convenience store but instead of a big parking area the majority of the lot has been fenced-in and covered with mulch to create a nice size off-leash dog park. It's super hot in Atlanta so I grabbed an Iced Latte (as good as anywhere else I've been) and sat in the park while my dog wrestled around with a handful of other dogs. She was completely tuckered out by the time we left. The coffee shop has a Cold Cereal Bar, first I've ever seen, and bakes cupcakes and such. They had doggie cupcakes and doggie ice cream!

This is a great place to dine with your dog! Blu and I sit at the covered outside dining area. He enjoys sleeping at my feet with a bowl of water, while I enjoy the grilled grouper and a Corona. Don't worry...he's well-fed before we arrive--I couldn't take hungry dog eyes while I'm eating! They also have wonderful burgers, chicken fingers, etc. Not on the menu, but my favorite side item--sweet potato fries! Oh--a bit confusing--their directory listing is "Daiquiri Island Grill." They shortened the name to Island Grill a year or so after they opened, but never changed it in the directory!

This truly is a great place for my Harley and I to enjoy a grouper sandwich or my personal favorite, the dirty bird. Harley gets to watch the Harley's pull in and he loves the deck, being the people puppy that he is. I must say, if you need a place for you and your pooch to ponder and relax, the Grill is the place!

Comfortable deck for outdoor dining with dogs. Lunch menu is better than dinner, in my opinion, but dinner is less expensive here than on the river or at some other City Market restaurants. I've been eating there before I began traveling with my dog, and have always enjoyed this place.

Please do not go the the Firefly! We want to keep it all to ourselves! Looking out onto Troup Square, the Firefly is one of the last "hidden" spots where locals get wonderful food, great service and a nice atmosphere. The tables outside are great to dine with friend, both two and four legged. If you get to go food, there is a bench just made to tie up your dog while you go in. Watch for Alix, our cocker, tied to the bench and waiting for dinner - she loves the chicken marsala!

Friendly cafe with indoor & outdoor dining on the St Marys waterfront. Breakfast, lunch & dinner served daily. Good basic food menu with reasonable prices. Service is good but sometimes a little slow. (If you want fast, go to McDonalds). There is no posted pet policy, but well-mannered dogs are welcome at the outdoor covered porch. 5-6 tables seat up to 4-5. You may end up next to a smoker, though as they are relegated to the outside as well. Across from the Cumberland Island ferry. You may have a short wait for an outdoor table during tourist season (Spring & Fall).

We took our dog Molly to the Crab Shack last summer (2006). At first Molly was distracted by the stray cats looking for handouts, and the noises from the swamp, but as soon as she started eating crab legs, her thoughts were only on food. This is a great place to take your dog, as long as your dog can forget about the stray cats. We shared our meal with the cats, and enjoyed every minute...
